Woohoo! Finished 5k, at a pretty slow pace. Had leg pain right when I started, about a "3", but it didn't get much higher than that, then subsided. A definite morale boost and win over yesterday's leg pain.
Felt like i could go on forever. I thibk i need to stick to HR training, and stop trying for a preferred race pace training. Felt a little weak at around the 4k distance, and still feeling it afterward. Most likely due to BS plummeting. Ugh, can't win. BUT not letting it get me down, a few more tweaks, and I'll have gotten that down to. Woke up to 101mg/dL, had 50g of sugar and 3units of Regular insulin, ran about 30min after that. Most likely need to take the insulin right before my run, and lower the dosage a little bit.
Other than that, I'll take my no pain (not a lot at least) run as a huge win.. Take the wins while you can!
Time for weight training and some jump rope (ya, my physical therapist will not be happy).

Soooo frustrated. Woke up late again. Yesterday.. Went to the gym after work.. And barley went 2k before my leg started hurting. Most likely because I did 8k the other day, then did a other 5 the day after. My physical therapist would not be happy. The leg really starting hurting 23ish minutes in, so I had to stop. Jumped on the bike for another 20 min....this is getting old.
Won't to bed a little early, woke up WITHOUT an alarm at 315 this morning! I'm super excited. Heading to the gm now, going to do a really slow, recover run, can't let my frustration get the better of me, and have me start running faster. I got a new running/workout tool for my bday. I'll post later today.. Time for a run! Good morning!
I did an 8K today! woohoo! A pretty far way from not being able to do 1 mile in late January. And my legs didn't even hurt! I don't think i'll need to go to my Physical Therapist anymore! I'm excited.
Although, I ran without a cause. Something I've learned when doing run workouts...every run needs to have a purpose. There was definitely no training purpose to this run, other than, 'can I do 8k at the pace that I want?' I stopped a few times, and really pushed myself past my lactate threshold. Eh, O well, ....I still did it.
Now...going forward...running with a purpose. I promise.
> Ugh, woke up late again. That means the early morning run, is moved to the lat afternoon run. It always feels like I have less time when running in the afternoon. Or I'm just lazier. I'm going to stick to the former.
